Our whole school trip to Bamburgh Castle was a huge success with 100 children and 50 parents!! It was a super ending to our Castles week!
We hosted 30 Chinese children and teachers. We spent some time talking about our different cultures and then our new friends joined us in class! We taught them about our iPads and they taught us too!
We met Jess the Owl - our schools adopted Owl. She lives in the Sanctuary Wildlife Centre in Morpeth but came to see us here with her frined Pickled Onion the Hedgehog. We raised the money to adopt her through making and selling bird feeders.
We cant wait to go and see her in her real habitat!
Every year we celebrate World Book Day!! This year we tried really hard with our costumes!!
We love to read!
In year 1 and 2 we have made links with a Spanish school - Colegio Publico Duquesa De La Victoria in Logrono - Northern Spain. Our art project is called 'Celebrating Emotions' We are sharing ideas and techniques and sending them to each other to form a joint art gallery!
All the children also had the opportunity to play the Steel Pans!!
This hard work all led to our very own Art Exhibition!
We held a Health and Sports Week - It was a jam packed week of activity, fitness and learnng about healthy lifestyles.
We all had a go at Zumba, Basketball, Multiskills, Football. We learnt about the History of Newcastle United with Toon Times
Then we had an afternoon of healthy eating and creating our own nutritious menus!
Our whole school trip to Beamish was brilliant! It formed part of our History/Geography week!
Arts Week 2015
We held our whole school Arts Week where each class researched an artist with their very own key question.
Reception looked at Matisse
Year 1 & 2 studied Hundertwasser's Flowers
Year 3 and 4 looked at Carribean Art
Year 5 and 6 Studied Pop Art.
