In Owl class, we have a very busy year planned.  Miss Winship, Miss Ritchie and Mrs Curry are very excited about the year ahead and are looking forward to working with all the Owl class children.

Who can be a giant? What are giants? can anyone be a giant? These are the questions Owl class are going to be exploring this half term.  Our class novel will be the BFG by Roald Dahl.  This will also be the basis of our reading work. In  literacy we will be looking carefully at the story of Jack and the Beanstalk culminating in writing our own version.  During our topic lessons we will be looking at who can be a giant in their field e.g. Neil Armstrong, David Attenburgh, Florence Nightingale or Marie Curie.  In science we will be exploring our digestive system and teeth.
