During the COVID-19 pandemic Catering Services will be offering a limited menu which can be eaten in Classrooms. Further information will be available for parents from the school office.
Usually a two-course meal is provided daily and children are offered a choice of food. Menus are designed to meet the nutritional needs of young children. Special meals can be provided for dietary conditions by contacting the Local Authority Catering Services. For children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 meals are provided free of charge, this is known as Universal Free School Meals. Other children may also be eligible for Free School Meals and should apply via the North Tyneside Council website.
For parents who wish to pay for school meals, the cost is £2.25 per day. School meals should be paid for before they are taken, at least weekly in advance. By paying online it means that you can do this at a time that's convenient to you. Provision is also made for children who prefer to bring packed lunch. However, for safety reasons we ask that children do not bring breakable containers such as glass bottles or hot drinks.
